Placemats

Placemats and coasters are practical and decorative when you want to protect a beautiful tabletop without using a full tablecloth. Our striped placemats are made by the Maya people in Guatemala, by the same skilled weavers who create our striped pillow covers. The checkered coasters come from African Madagascar, where weaving is done with the palm leaf material Raffia. The round placemats are a bit sturdier and can also function as a large trivet.
