BOLGA CITY Basket with lid, nature

A natural-colored cylindrical basket with a leather-covered handle. Great for storing, for example, newspapers, toys, shoe shine items or sewing accessories.

The baskets called "Bolga baskets" are made in the Bolgatanga area in northern Ghana. Most of the producers are women and the basket weaving helps to support them. The so called elephant grass that is used grows on the hillsides along the rivers.
